WHAT IS THE BLOCK PARTY WEEKENDER?
A. The Block Party Weekender is an urban music-fuelled escape in Albufeira, Portugal, packed with high-energy themed, boat, and pool parties. Expect the best in Hip Hop, R&B, Dancehall, Amapiano, and more from top-tier DJs and hosts. It’s a four-day celebration of music, culture, and vibes for anyone ready to go all in.
WHERE IS THE BLOCK PARTY WEEKENDER?
A. Most Block Party Weekender events will be happening along 'The Strip' in Albufeira, Portugal, taking over a mix of clubs, pool venues, and nearby beach spots in that area. The boat party will set sail from Portimão, which is roughly a 30–40 minute drive from Albufeira. 'The Strip' Address: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽, 𝗔𝘃. 𝗦á 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗼, 𝟴𝟮𝟬𝟬-𝟮𝟴𝟯 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝘂𝗳𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗮, 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹.
WHAT IS THE WEATHER LIKE?
A. Albufeira in June is usually warm and sunny, with daytime temperatures sitting around 21–28°C. At night it can feel cooler, so cargos with a nice top, light layers, or longer dresses are perfect for evening events to stay comfortable while still looking on point.
WHAT TYPE OF MUSIC IS PLAYED AT THE EVENTS?
A. Block Party Weekender serves up a mix of the biggest sounds. Expect Hip Hop, Throwback R&B, Dancehall, Soca, Afrobeats, Amapiano & UK vibes.
WILL THERE BE FOOD & DRINKS?
A. Food and drink are not directly included, but there will be a guide with favourite restaurants and food spots around Albufeira and the Strip to help you choose where to eat and drink. At our pool party, Caribbean food will be available to buy from SXY JRK (@sxyjrk), bringing extra flavour to your Block Party Weekender experience.
WILL THERE BE PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEO TAKEN AT THE BLOCK PARTY WEEKENDER?
A. Yes. Our media team will be capturing photos and videos across the whole weekend at all Block Party Weekender events for content and promotion.
If you’d rather not be featured, please speak to a member of the media team on site so they can be aware. While we’ll do our best to respect requests, photography and videography will still be taking place as part of documenting the event.
WHAT IS THE AGE RESTRICTION?
A. Block Party Weekender is an 18+ event. Passports & ID's will be checked at Wristband collection.
CAN I COME BY MYSELF?
A. Yes, 100%.
Block Party Weekender is super social and a big vibe, so coming solo is calm! – you’ll meet people at the pool parties, themed nights, and along the Strip. Just follow normal nightlife common sense (stick with the crowd, use taxis/Uber, watch your drinks) and you’ll be good.
TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION FAQ'S
WHAT AIRPORT DO I GO TO FOR THE BLOCK PARTY WEEKENDER?
A. 𝗙𝗮𝗿𝗼 (𝗙𝗔𝗢) 𝗔𝗶𝗿𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 is the best option for The Block Party Weekender, then just a 30 - 40-minute transfer, taxi or Uber ride to your accommodation in Albufeira.
WHAT ARE THE BEST TRANSPORT OPTIONS FOR THE BLOCK PARTY WEEKENDER?
A. Most Block Party Weekender events are around The Strip, so everything is within walking distance of each other. For the boat party in Portimão, a coach service will take you there (around a 30–40 minute drive from Albufeira), and if your accommodation isn’t on the Strip, services like 𝗨𝗯𝗲𝗿 & 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝘁 are the easiest options and are usually very affordable!
WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO STAY FOR THE BLOCK PARTY WEEKENDER?
HOTELS
We recommend any of the MGM Muthu Hotels in Albufeira, all a short distance from the Oura Strip. Rooms can be booked via Booking.com or directly at 𝗵𝘁𝘁𝗽𝘀://𝘄𝘄𝘄.𝗺𝘂𝘁𝗵𝘂𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗺𝗴𝗺.𝗰𝗼𝗺/𝗽𝘁/𝗵𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗹𝘀/𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹. The closest MGM hotel to the Strip is Grand Muthu Oura View Beach Club, with plenty of other nearby options in Albufeira.
OTHER HOTELS
We also recommend Belver Hotel Da Aldeia and Santa Eulalia Hotel & Spa, both conveniently located for getting to the Strip.
AIRBNB'S, APARTMENTS & VILLAS
There are lots of affordable Airbnbs, apartments, and villas near the Strip. Aim to stay within about a 1.1-mile radius, using this address as a guide: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗽, 𝗔𝘃. 𝗦á 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗼, 𝟴𝟮𝟬𝟬-𝟮𝟴𝟯 𝗔𝗹𝗯𝘂𝗳𝗲𝗶𝗿𝗮, 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗹.
DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?
A. Travel insurance is strongly recommended. It can help cover things like flight delays, lost luggage, or medical emergencies while you’re in Portugal, so you can focus on enjoying the weekender without stress.

WHAT ARE THE TICKET OPTIONS FOR THE BLOCK PARTY WEEKENDER?
DAY ONES WEEKEND PASS
Strictly for the day ones!! Lock in EARLY with the Day Ones Weekend Pass, for discounted all-access to Block Party Weekender, 4 - 7 July 2026. This pass includes a wristband for every event from day to night, including themed nights, pool parties, and exclusive events. You’ll also get a Welcome Party T-shirt to kick the weekend off in true Block Party style.
There are two options of Day Ones Weekend Passes, one includes the boat party, and one without.
1ST - 5TH WAVE WEEKEND PASS
Get all-access with the Full Pass! This includes a wristband for every Block Party Weekender event from day to night, plus entry to themed nights, pool parties, and exclusive events. You’ll also receive a T-shirt for the Welcome Party to start the weekend off right! (4th - 7th July 2026)
There are two options of Weekend Passes, one includes the boat party, and one without.
BOAT PARTY TICKET
Ready to party on the waves? The Boat Party Ticket is sold separately. Pick up your entry at the coach pick-up point and enjoy an epic time on the water!
WILL THERE BE DISCOUNTS ON THE TICKETS?
A. Yes! We drop discounts all year round for payday weekends, Black Friday, New Year, and more. Plus, you can grab 25% OFF exclusive codes from our line-up DJs for extra savings.
CAN I PAY IN INSTALMENTS?
A. Yes! Lock in your spot with a small deposit and spread the rest over easy monthly payments.
ARE THE TICKETS REFUNDABLE?
A. No, tickets are non-refundable. However, if an event needs to be cancelled, full refunds will be issued to all ticket holders. If you'd like to transfer your ticket to someone else, just reach out to our team and we'll help make it happen.
I'VE PURCHASED A TICKET, BUT I HAVEN'T RECEIVED IT?
A. No worries! QR codes and your booking tickets will be available one week before Block Party Weekender. Check your email (Will be from SB WORLD) (including spam) then, or contact our team if you still don't see them.
HEALTH & SAFETY FAQ'S
IS THE BLOCK PARTY WEEKENDER LIABLE FOR LOST & STOLEN ITEMS?
A. No, Block Party Weekender is not responsible for any lost or stolen items during the event. Please keep your personal belongings secure at all times.
WHAT SHOULD I DO IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY?
A. The emergency contact number in Albufeira is 112. This connects you to police, fire services, and medical assistance, dial it anytime for urgent help.
WHAT IF I NEED MEDICAL ASSISTANCE?
A. Our staff are on hand to help with most issues or call emergency services if needed (dial 112). Note that Block Party Weekender is not liable for any loss or injury.
